In my 16 years in New York City, I’ve leveled up in so many ways — career, housing, and overall life moves. But this year, I’m on a different kind of glow-up: one that focuses on my physical, emotional, and financial well-being.
For years, my life in NYC has been about survival and hustle — getting the dream job, upgrading my living situation, and finding my place in the city that never sleeps. But 2025 is about something deeper. This year, I’m making intentional moves to feel good from the inside out, financially secure, and at peace in my own skin.
Here’s how I’m making it happen:
💰 Financial Glow-Up: Securing Stability & Wealth
I’ve worked hard to create career opportunities for myself, but this year, I’m focusing on long-term financial security. Here’s how:
Refining My Budget – Cutting unnecessary expenses while still enjoying my city life.
Building Multiple Income Streams – Exploring digital products and monetizing my expertise.
Smart Investing – Prioritizing savings, investments, and passive income.
Financial Boundaries – Learning to say no to things that don’t align with my goals.
💪🏽 Physical Glow-Up: Feeling Strong & Confident
This isn’t about aesthetics; it’s about feeling good in my body. That means:
Prioritizing Strength & Wellness – Focusing on nutrition, movement, and consistency.
Skincare & Self-Care – Small, intentional habits that make a difference.
Mind-Body Connection – Understanding how stress and grief affect my physical health.

🧠 Emotional Glow-Up: Healing & Thriving
After experiencing deep loss, I’ve realized that true transformation starts from within. In 2025, I’m:
Processing Grief in a Healthy Way – Therapy, journaling, and leaning into joy.
Setting Boundaries – Protecting my peace, energy, and emotional well-being.
Creating Space for Fun – Exploring the city, travel, and the little things that bring me joy.
What’s Next?
This glow-up is about sustainability, not perfection. I’ll be documenting this journey on my blog and social media, and I want you to come along for the ride.
Our first visit with you during your internship, you showed us the city. I was so incredibly impressed with how you had adapted and navigated our trips on the train from one place to the other and back to our hotel. That's when I knew the bright lights of NYC had captured your heart and Ohio was in the rearview mirror. I loved it for you and here we are 16 years later! With all that you have endured and overcome, personally and professionally, stay faithful, stay focused and stay fearless, God has you in the palm of His hands.
