My Glow-Up Year Starts Now—March is the Perfect Time for a Reset

Stack of books on a table, featuring titles on health, finance, and personal growth. Notable colors: purple, blue, and red.
A curated collection of books inspiring personal growth, financial wisdom, culinary explorations, and spiritual guidance.

It’s easy to think that a glow-up should start in January when everyone sets resolutions. But for me, March is the perfect time. The days are getting longer, the air is shifting, and spring—the season of renewal — is just around the corner. This isn’t about rushing into change just because the calendar says so; it’s about being intentional and aligning my transformation with the energy of new beginnings.

This year, I’m taking a full-circle approach to my glow-up—mind, body, spirit, relationships, and finances. And, of course, I’m bringing books along for the journey. If you’re ready to step into your next level, let’s do it together!

Fueling My Body and Health

Three cookbooks on a dark surface: "The Complete Juicing," "Instant Loss," and "The 14-Day New Keto Cleanse." Vibrant covers.
  • The Complete Juicing Recipe Book

  • The 14-Day New Keto Cleanse by JJ Smith

  • Instant Loss Cookbook by Brittany Williams

In 2022, I lost 20 pounds, and that journey was kickstarted by JJ Smith’s 10-Day Green Smoothie Cleanse. It was an incredible reset, but this time around, I’m focused on a long-term, sustainable plan. That means incorporating nutrient-dense meals that nourish my body instead of relying on quick-fix cleanses. Juicing will still be a part of my routine for an extra boost, but this glow-up is about balance, not restriction.

What’s your approach to healthy eating? Let’s swap recipes and tips!

Building Financial Freedom & Stability

Four finance books on a dark surface. Covers feature bold text and vibrant colors with authors Tiffany Aliche and Ramit Sethi.

  • Get Good With Money by Tiffany Aliche

  • Made Whole Workbook by Tiffany Aliche

  • I Will Teach You to Be Rich by Ramit Sethi (plus the journal!)

This year, my financial glow-up is two-pronged. Tiffany Aliche and Ramit Sethi have different approaches, but their ideologies overlap in ways that make sense for me.

Tiffany focuses on financial wholeness—budgeting, saving, debt management, and long-term wealth-building in a way that’s accessible and holistic. On the other hand, Ramit leans into conscious spending—cutting out the unnecessary while giving yourself permission to spend on things that truly bring joy.

By combining both approaches, I’m creating a strategy that works for me: a strong financial foundation with built-in flexibility. Glowing up isn’t just about having more money—it’s about using it wisely to create the life I want.

What’s your financial glow-up goal this year? Let’s hold each other accountable!

Strengthening My Mind & Spirit

Books on a table: The Miracle Journal, Michelle Obama’s The Light We Carry, Overcoming workbook, Bible in 52 Weeks, and Holy Bible.

  • The Miracle Journal

  • The Light We Carry by Michelle Obama

  • The Bible in 52 Weeks by Kimberly D. Moore

Grief has been a central part of my journey as I face with emotions that had been buried for years. But through it all, I’ve found myself tapping back into my foundation of faith. This year, I’m deepening that foundation while also looking forward, creating space for joy, growth, and new possibilities.

Michelle Obama’s wisdom will help me navigate change with grace, while journaling will allow me to process my thoughts and emotions in real-time. Spiritually, I’m committing to reading the Bible in 52 weeks with Kimberly D. Moore’s guide. This is about strengthening my faith—not just as a way to heal, but as a roadmap for my future.

What books or spiritual practices keep you grounded? Let’s build each other up!

Redefining My Relationships & Boundaries

Two books titled "Boundaries in Dating" and "Boundaries in Dating Workbook" with dripping lipstick on the cover, on a dark background.

  • Boundaries in Dating by Dr. Henry Cloud & Dr. John Townsend (plus the workbook!)

I’m not actively dating right now, and honestly? That’s intentional. Before I return to that world, I’m preparing myself with high standards, firm boundaries, and a clear sense of what I want. No more situationships, no more emotional unavailability—just intentional connections with real potential.

Boundaries in Dating will help me lay that groundwork. The workbook will make me sit with tough questions, reflect on past patterns, and define the kind of love I deserve. So when I do start dating again, I’ll be showing up as my best self—ready for something real.

Have you ever done a relationship workbook? Let’s talk about it!
